EDMOND, Okla. (AP) - Edmond city officials say a longtime municipal employee has been struck and killed by a train.

City spokesman Casey More says 57-year-old Bob Waterson was killed Tuesday evening when trying to move his truck, which was stuck near the railroad tracks. Waterson worked for Edmond Electric for about 34 years.

Moore says the crash occurred as Waterson tried to de-energize lines that were no longer in use.

Edmond police are investigating the accident.
