LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has named Aaron Batey as men’s and women’s cross country and distance head coach.

Batey has served as an assistant track & field and cross country coach since 2010 at UALR after graduating from the university. He was an eight-time All-Sun Belt performer and qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Regional in the 1,500-meter run in both 2008 and 2009.

He will be responsible for the men’s and women’s cross country teams and the men’s and women’s distance and middle distance events for the indoor and outdoor seasons.
