SALEM, Ore. (AP) - The owner of a blind bison says she hopes to select a new home for it soon in the Salem area.

Lisa Miller told the Statesman Journal (https://stjr.nl/1oM7v6l ) she is no longer able to care for the 14-year-old beast at her home north of Salem but wants to be close enough to visit.

A dozen offers have come in, including one from the Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary in Scio (SY’-oh). The president of the sanctuary, Wayne Geiger, says it can handle the blind bison because it once cared for a blind cow.
