ERIE, Pa. (AP) - Authorities in northwestern Pennsylvania are working to identify a man whose body was found in the woods near Erie.

Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook says he hopes to confirm the person’s identity Thursday after a dental examination.

The Erie Times-News reports (https://bit.ly/VpLZNB) a hiker found the remains Tuesday along the edge of a cliff in Wintergreen Gorge.

Cook says no foul play is suspected. Officials say the man had been in the woods for an extended period of time.
