NORFOLK, Neb. (AP) - A student at a parochial school in northeast Nebraska has been diagnosed with tuberculosis, a contagious lung disease that’s relatively rare in the United States.

Sioux City, Iowa, television station KTIV (https://bit.ly/1owH8qN ) reports that parents of students at Norfolk’s Park Avenue Christian School were notified about meeting that was held Wednesday night. It was set up by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services after the student tested positive.

The school is affiliated with Community Bible Church. The Rev. Aaron Hess says the meeting was called to share information about the disease. He says other students exposed to the disease will be tested.
