LOMA LINDA, Calif. (AP) - Sheriff’s officials have arrested two suspects who they say posed as maintenance workers and stole at least 21 microscope lenses from a San Bernardino County hospital.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise says (https://bit.ly/1uTnzbO ) staffers at Loma Linda University Medical Center confronted the thieves, who left the facility before deputies arrived on Tuesday.

Investigators identified and arrested two male suspects described as a 32-year-old Chino Hills man and a 35-year-old Pomona resident.

All of the lenses - worth $31,500 - were recovered and returned to the hospital.
