FLINT, Mich. (AP) - Police say three men have been charged in connection to the slaying of a 79-year-old man in his Flint home.

The Flint Journal reports (https://bit.ly/Xj0uEA ) 19-year-old Marquise Love, 24-year-old Keanu Brown and 28-year-old Takais Brown were arraigned Wednesday. All three have been charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, first-degree home invasion and felony firearm possession in the death of Jimmie Allison on Aug. 8.

Police say Allison was found dead in his home from an apparent gunshot wound. The three suspects were arrested Saturday. It’s unclear if they took anything from the house.

Prosecutors say one of the defendants is the son of Allison’s gardener. Allison’s girlfriend says landscaping his backyard was Allison’s “pride and joy.”

It wasn’t immediately clear if the men have lawyers.
