SAN ANTONIO (AP) - San Antonio police have many questions to resolve in the shooting death of a 12-year-old boy.

Primarily, they want to know where a 14-year-old boy got the handgun used to fatally wound his cousin, Julian Karnazuta-Gomez, in the head about 2 a.m. Thursday. No charges have been filed.

The boy told detectives that he had found the gun in a ditch and was showing the gun to his cousins at Julian’s family’s home in east San Antonio when it accidentally fired.

Julian’s parents said they were unaware that a gun had been brought into their home.
