SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (AP) - Police arrested a Springfield, Oregon, man accused of offering to buy sex with a minor who lives at his address.

Sgt. David Lewis told The Register-Guard (https://is.gd/RQGVzo ) that the investigation began when a girl and her sibling contacted police. According to Lewis, 39-year-old Juan Luis Alejandre approached the girl Tuesday and offered her money for the performance of a sex act. This allegedly occurred in front of the sibling.

Alejandre was booked into the Lane County Jail on charges of compelling prostitution and other crimes.
