LACONIA, N.H. (AP) - Police in Laconia, New Hampshire, have arrested two men on charges they offered heavy equipment for a very low price, collected fees and then failed to deliver it as promised.

The men were being arraigned Friday. They are identified as 47-year-old Joseph Bavis, Sr. and 23-year-old Joseph Bavis, Jr.

Bavis Sr. was charged with theft by deception and Bavis Jr. was charged with conspiracy to commit theft by deception. They were arrested in a business parking lot Thursday.
