SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Police in Shreveport say a suspect has been arrested in a carjacking that happened in September.

Authorities tell KEEL radio (https://bit.ly/1sZnHHr ) that 34-year-old Shawn Swift was arrested earlier this week.

Investigators say the carjacking happened Sept. 14, 2013, on Spring Street. The driver of a pick-up truck was beaten and his truck was taken, officers say.

The victim’s injuries were not life threatening. Officers say the truck was later recovered.

Swift was booked with one count of carjacking. It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
