SALEM, Mass. (AP) - A woman authorities say left the 2-year-old child she was hired to babysit alone and concocted a story about being kidnapped and stalked has been sentenced to probation.

The Salem News (https://bit.ly/1t6wfLV ) reports that Lisa Dibiasso was sentenced Thursday to a year of probation and has been barred from working with children after a judge continued a charge of child endangerment without a finding.

If Dibiasso complies with probation conditions, including counseling, the charge will be dismissed.

Dibiasso was hired by a Danvers woman who saw her listing on a child care website.

Authorities say Dibiasso was spotted several times leaving the home without the child, and when confronted by police, claimed she had been kidnapped or stalked.

Her lawyer says jealous neighbors who lost the babysitting job falsely accused her.
