HURRICANE, Utah (AP) - Police say they’ve wrapped up their investigation into the death of an 11-month-old girl left in a hot vehicle and have forwarded it to Washington County prosecutors to review for possible charges.

Hurricane police announced Thursday that they’d finished their work on the case of Skyah Suwyn, who died Aug. 1.

Aimee Wright has said her sister, April Suwyn, is accepting blame for the death of her daughter. Wright told the Deseret News her sister believed she had taken the child into the family home after dropping off her sons with a babysitter and didn’t discover her in the back seat until early in the afternoon.

The temperature was about 90 at the time.
