JACKSON, N.J. (AP) - Diesel fuel was mistakenly pumped into five cars at a QuickChek in Jackson Township.

The company says a delivery company put the fuel in the wrong storage tank on Wednesday.

Cars that use regular gasoline won’t work with diesel.

The company tells the Asbury Park Press (https://on.app.com/1qc2wwX ) five vehicles were affected. The cars were repaired at the company’s expense.

QuickChek says the tank was emptied, the lines were flushed and regular gasoline was pumped into the storage tank within an hour.
