BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Authorities say a grass fire at the University of Mary campus was doused before it threatened any structures at the Bismarck school.

Bismarck Rural Fire Department firefighter Scott Nelson tells the Bismarck Tribune (https://bit.ly/1t7mywI ) that the fire was reported Thursday night.

Nelson says the blaze blackened about an acre of land before firefighters got it under control in less than an hour.

Nelson says the cause of the fire was not known.
