DUNWOODY, Ga. (AP) - Georgia State Board of Education member Barbara Hampton plans a public hearing in metro Atlanta on student progress and problems in public education.

Officials say Hampton is hosting the hearing, set for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Dunwoody High School, for residents of the Sixth Congressional District.

Board of Education members are looking for input from local residents and educators on a range of issues, including comments on the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards.

Officials say people wishing to speak during the hearing should sign in upon arrival.
