BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) - A man who pleaded guilty to charges following a fatal boating crash in New Hampshire has been sentenced to at least six months in jail.

Lawrence Buswell of Kingston pleaded guilty to four vehicle assault charges as part of an agreement with prosecutors.

The Eagle Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/Ycq12u) authorities say his 20-foot powerboat collided with another boat in May 2012 on Country Pond in Kingston. Fifty-four-year-old Eric Eskeland of Merrimack was killed and five others were injured in the nighttime crash.

The 53-year-old Buswell is to serve six months of a one-year sentence on one of the four charges, with the remaining six months suspended for seven years on the condition of good behavior.
