MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) - The man who tried to blow up the Jackson County district attorney’s office is scheduled to be sentenced Monday in federal court in Medford.

Forty-seven-year-old Alan Leroy McVay of White City faces a 15-year sentence under the agreement that led to his guilty plea in May.

The Mail Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1pgAnIB) McVay also owes restitution of nearly $15,000 for damage to the office.

McVay admitted taping a pipe bomb to a propane tank last November and throwing it at a window because he wanted to delay his sentencing in a burglary case. The pipe bomb went off but the propane tank didn’t explode.
