MALIBU, Calif. (AP) - A small earthquake has struck off the coast of Malibu but there have been no reports of damage or injuries.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude-3.4 quake hit just after 9 a.m. in the area of the Channel Islands.

It was located about five miles southwest of Malibu Beach and 12 miles south of Agoura.

A dispatcher at the Malibu/Lost Hills sheriff’s station says the only calls received were from news outlets inquiring whether they’ve received any calls.
