MINOT, N.D. (AP) - The city of Minot is working with the North Dakota State Fair on plans for $2.2 million in upgrades at the All Seasons Arena on the fairgrounds.

The Minot Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1qciHdH ) that the City Council this week approved an ordinance establishing city authority for a $2 million bond issue for the project. The bond would be paid off over 15 years with revenue from the city’s lodging tax.

The ordinance simply allows for bonding. City Manager Cindy Hemphill says financing details will have to be worked out in a final agreement with the State Fair that’s expected to be drafted for City Council consideration in October.

The project would include lights, boilers and air conditioning upgrades, as well as work on locker rooms and the arena’s restaurant.
