RIVERHEAD, N.Y. (AP) - A Long Island man was killed when his truck rolled on top of him while he changed the oil.

Riverhead police say 48-year-old Rony Calderon was pinned around 4 p.m. Saturday when the vehicle rolled off a set of ramps holding up the front tires.

Police say neighbors used a jack to lift the truck, but Calderon lay unresponsive. He was pronounced dead a short time later at Peconic Bay Medical Center.

Police say Calderon’s death appeared accidental and no criminality is suspected.
