WHITEFISH, Mont. (AP) - A sport utility vehicle collided with a bicycle, killing a 28-year-old Whitefish man.

Whitefish Police Chief Bill Dial says the accident occurred about 9:30 p.m. Thursday in Whitefish.

Dial says Jared Frederick Kinney, of Whitefish, died at the scene.

He says the initial investigation indicates Kinney was riding against traffic and had no headlight or taillight on his bike the vehicle turned into a parking lot and struck Kinney.

The vehicle was driven by a woman from Redcliff, Alberta.

The accident remains under investigation.
