CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Students are going back to school and that means it’s time for the annual First Day Festival in Charleston.

The 12th annual festival is being held Sunday at Liberty Square by the South Carolina Aquarium. The festival is designed to get kids excited about returning to school and making sure they have the supplies and support they need.

Each year, thousands of students and their families attend the festival, where they can get school supplies, learn about support services and healthy eating.

The festival includes free aquarium tours and boat rides as well as face painting and other activities.
