SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Visitors to the Illinois State Fair will get an added treat as some top chefs face off in the annual Chili Cook-Off.

The competition is scheduled for Sunday at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield.

Each chili competition has three categories: red chili, green chili and salsa. There are typically 25 to 30 home chefs in each category.

Four chefs qualified during the 2013 cook-off to advance to the World Open Chili Championship in Las Vegas. All four finished in the top 10.

People visiting the fair during this year’s contest may stop by the Miller Tent for samples of red chili starting at 2 p.m. Winners will be announced at 4 p.m.
