BECKLEY, W.Va. (AP) - A water project in Mingo County is getting financial support from the federal government.

U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall says the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development will provide a $985,800 grant and a $1 million low-interest loan for the Ben Creek project’s second phase.

The project will extend public water service to about 110 households along Ben Creek and in the Stafford Magisterial District.
