BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Bridgeport police say a city woman intervened in a fight involving her son and stabbed a man several times.

Officers responded to a fight off Madison Avenue on Sunday afternoon and arrested three people.

Thirty-six-year-old Janel Moore was arrested on assault charges after police say she got involved in the fight and stabbed a man, who is expected to survive. Her son was charged as a juvenile offender.

Police say another person was arrested for damaging a vehicle during the fight.

A phone listing for Moore couldn’t be found Monday. It’s not clear if she has a lawyer.

Police didn’t say what sparked the fight.
