HICKORY, N.C. (AP) - The North Carolina Highway Patrol says one person has died in a hit and run collision near Hickory.
Multiple media outlets reported that the victim was struck around 7 a.m. Monday on U.S. 321 just south of Interstate 40.
Troopers are looking for a car with front-end damage and a broken windshield and are still trying to determine what happened.
The name of the victim has not been released.
