ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say a postal employee is in custody after a shot was fired within the vehicle maintenance facility at Albuquerque’s main post office. Nobody was injured.

Postal Inspection Service spokesman Ed Trejo (TRAY’-hoe) says the employee is a mechanic and that the one shot was fired shortly before 6 a.m. as the mechanic and other employees reported for work Monday morning.

The employee’s identity hasn’t been released, and Trejo says additional information on the incident is not immediately available.
