BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a 15-year-old boy is in critical condition at a Buffalo hospital after he was hit by gunfire on a city street.

Detectives tell local media that they were called to Fillmore Avenue on Buffalo’s east side around 4:30 p.m. Monday for a report of a teenager hit by gunfire. Police say the boy had been shot in the upper body.

Officials say the boy is in critical but stable condition at Erie County Medical Center.

There have been no reports of arrests or a possible motive.

The shooting comes a week after two teenage boys were killed and four others wounded in separate shootings on Buffalo’s east side.
