LAWTON, Okla. (AP) - Comanche County commissioners have fired the county’s emergency management director who is charged with engaging in inappropriate sexual conduct with a 14-year-old boy.

The Lawton Constitution reports (https://bit.ly/1o8T1NX0 ) the commissioners voted unanimously Monday to fire 61-year-old Clint Wagstaff.

The Lawton Police Department arrested Wagstaff last week. He has been charged with four felonies.

Commissioner Don Hawthorne says the commissioners made the decision because of the severity of the alleged crime and the evidence available to them. They named Chloe Lewis as interim director.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Wagstaff has an attorney.
