SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Spokane City Council member Candace Mumm says the city can make a big increase in pedestrian safety with a small investment.

She’s proposing new and updated crosswalks at business centers, near schools and parks.

KXLY reports (https://bit.ly/1z0ffYl) the council will consider the crosswalk proposal at its Sept. 8 meeting.
