CENTRAL

BASTROP: Water stained; 85-89 degrees. Black bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp and liver. Yellow catfish are slow.

BELTON: Water murky; 81-85 degrees; 9.47 feet low. Black bass are good on spinnerbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Hybrid striper are fair on live shad in coves. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on summer sausage. Yellow catfish are fair on perch and live shad.

BROWNWOOD: Water clear; 82-86 degrees; 12.41 feet low. Black bass are good on watermelon soft plastic worms in 8-15 feet, and on jigs and buzzbaits in 4-10 feet. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and white or shad Li’l Fishies in 10-18 feet. Channel catfish are slow. Blue catfish are good on cheesebait in 5-10 feet Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with perch and goldfish in 3-10 feet.

BUCHANAN: Water murky; 82-86 degrees; 29.31 feet low. Black bass are good on topwaters, white crankbaits, Chug Bugs and chartreuse soft plastics in 2-8 feet at first light. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on minnows and Li’l Fishies. Crappie are fair on chartreuse tube jigs and live minnows. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are fair on perch upriver.

CANYON LAKE: Water murky; 82-86 degrees; 9.99 feet low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse topwaters and Texas rigged blue flake worms and split shot Whacky Sticks along break lines. Striped bass are fair trolling Gizz 4 crankbaits over and around humps and jigging 1-oz. Pirk Minnows at daylight. White bass are slow. Smallmouth bass are fair on smoke JDC grubs and pumpkin jigs in 12-28 feet early. Crappie are fair on minnows and pink tube jigs in standing timber. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

COLEMAN: Water clear; 82-86 degrees; 17.76 feet low. Black bass are very good on Rat-L-Traps, spinnerbaits, and chartreuse soft plastics. Hybrid striper are fair on live shad near the park and the store. Crappie are good on minnows and Li’l Fishies at night. Channel catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch and chicken livers. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) No report available.

FAYETTE: Water stained. Black bass are fair on crankbaits and Carolina rigged green pumpkin soft plastics over humps. Channel and blue catfish are slow.

GRANBURY: Water murky; 82-86 degrees; 6.35 feet low. Black bass are good on watermelon Carolina rigged soft plastics, crankbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on minnows, Charlie slabs, and pet spoons. Crappie are good on minnows and green tube jigs. Catfish are fair on chicken livers and frozen shrimp.

GRANGER: Water clear; 83-87 degrees; 0.13 feet high. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastic worms and crankbaits around timber. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows in 4-15 feet. Blue catfish are fair on juglines baited with shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

LBJ: Water stained; 83-87 degrees; 0.39 feet low. Black bass are fair on white Curb’s Erratic jigs and perch crankbaits in 4-12 feet. Striped bass are good on Creme Lure’s 2-inch Spoiler Shads and Little Fishies at night. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies at night. Crappie are fair on Curb’s crappie jigs and live minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are very good on nightcrawlers, liver, and dipbait. Yellow and blue catfish are fair on trotlines baited with goldfish and perch.

NAVARRO MILLS: Water stained; 81-85 degrees; 0.76 feet low. Black bass are fair on green pumpkin spinnerbaits and Rat-L-Traps. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and orange/chartreuse jigs. Channel catfish are fair on shrimp and chicken livers. Blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

PROCTOR: Water murky; 82-86 degrees; 11.40 feet low. Black bass are fair on crankbaits and soft plastic worms early. Striped bass are very good on live shad. White bass are good on minnows. Crappie are good on minnows and pink tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines and juglines baited with goldfish. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live bait.

SOMERVILLE: Water murky; 81-85 degrees; 0.34 feet low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin soft plastics and spinnerbaits. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on nightcrawlers, minnows, and shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

STILLHOUSE: Water murky; 82-86 degrees; 10.56 feet low. Black bass are slow. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.

TRAVIS: Water murky; 82-86 degrees; 54.98 feet low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on silver striper jigs. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair on frozen shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

WALTER E. LONG: Water lightly stained. Black bass are good on chartreuse Rat-L-Traps and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.

WHITNEY: Water murky; 82-86 degrees; 8.31 feet low. Black bass are fair on pumpkinseed soft plastics. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on minnows, pet spoons, and Charlie slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows and yellow tube jigs. Catfish are good on frozen shrimp, stinkbait, and live bait.

NORTHEAST

ATHENS: Water clear; 83-87 degrees; 0.72 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged creature baits and topwater walking type baits along edges of grass. Crappie are good on white jigs and minnows. Catfish are fair on trotline and prepared bait.

BOB SANDLIN: Water clear; 82-87 degrees; 1.58 feet low. Black bass are good on Carolina rigged soft plastics and football jigs on brush piles. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on topwaters and slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

BONHAM: Water stained, 82-85 degrees; 2.31 feet low. Black bass are fair early along points using topwaters. Later in the day move to ridges, humps and points along the creek. Crappie are excellent on jigs and minnows on offshore brush piles up to 20 feet. Catfish are excellent along the rocks with stinkbait, chicken liver and cut shad.

BRIDGEPORT: Water clear, 82-86 degrees; 22.68 feet low. Black bass are good on small soft plastic swimbaits on jigheads fished near rocky points on main lake. Megabass Dog X walking baits in raigyo have been effective as well. Crappie are good on minnows and white jigs. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Hybrid striper are good on slabs and topwaters. Channel catfish are fair on trotlines and cut shad.

CADDO: Water stained; 83-87 degrees; 0.15 feet high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged creature baits and black buzzbaits near shallow cover. Hollow body frogs effective as well. White and yellow bass are good on slabs. Catfish are fair on cut shad and prepared bait.

CEDAR CREEK: Water clear; 83-86 degrees; 4.39 feet low. Black bass are slow on Texas rigged craws in green pumpkin on docks and Carolina rigged centipedes and deep diving crankbaits on deeper brush piles. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are good on topwaters and slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait.

COOPER: Water clear; 83-87 degrees; 9.24 feet low. Black bass are good on Texas rigged craws and worms Crappie are good on jigs. White bass are good on slab and topwaters. Hybrid striper are good on slabs. Catfish are good on cut shad and trotlines.

FAIRFIELD: Fishing has been slow since the fish kill in September of 2010. TPWD has discontinued stocking the lake after another kill in early September 2011. Redfish and black bass survived the kill in limited numbers.

FORK: Water clear; 83-87 degrees; 4.35 feet low. Black bass are fair on deep diving crankbaits, flutter spoons and drop shot worms in 15-20 feet. Weighted watermelon Flukes working in 10-15 feet. White and yellow bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows on brush piles and bridges. Catfish are good on trotlines.

GRAPEVINE: Water clear; 83-86 degrees; 10.29 feet low. Black bass are good on Texas rig craws and topwater poppers near floating docks. Crappie are good on minnows and white jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines and nightcrawlers.

JOE POOL: Water clear; 83-87 degrees; 0.74 feet low. Black bass are good on medium crankbaits in shad patterns and topwater walking baits. Crappie are slow on minnows. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Catfish are good on cut shad and trotlines.

LAKE O’ THE PINES: Water lightly stained; 83-86; degrees; 1.38 feet high. Black bass are slow on Texas rig creature baits and hollow body frogs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on cut shad.

LAVON: Water lightly stained; 83-87 degrees; 11.49 feet low. Black bass are good on swim jigs and bladed jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and white jigs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

LEWISVILLE: Water lightly stained; 82-86 degrees; 5.31 feet low. Black bass are fair on shallow crankbaits and topwaters. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse jigs. White bass are good on topwaters and slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs and minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.

MARTIN CREEK: Water clear; 86-93 degrees; 0.51 feet low. Black bass are good on deep diving crankbaits along deeper points and breaks. Crappie are fair on minnows. White bass are fair on minnows and slabs. Catfish are fair on punch bait and trotlines.

MONTICELLO: Water fairly clear; 95-101 degrees; 0.83 feet low. Black bass are good on deep diving crankbaits and drop shot finesse worms near the discharge. Crappie are fair on tube jigs and minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and cut shad

PALESTINE: Water clear; 83-86 degrees; 0.39 feet low. Black bass are fair on Flukes and weightless Senkos near docks. Some deeper fish being caught on football jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Hybrid striper are good on slabs and topwaters. White bass are good on topwaters and slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

RAY HUBBARD: Water clear; 83-87 degrees; 8.32 feet low. Black bass are fair on deep diving crankbaits and football jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are slow on topwaters. Catfish are good on cut shad and nightcrawlers.

RAY ROBERTS: Water clear; 83-86 degrees; 6.13 feet low. Black bass are fair on Carolina rigged worms and deep diving crankbaits. Crappie are slow on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are good on prepared bait and trotlines.

RICHLAND CHAMBERS: Water lightly stained; 83-87 degrees; 8.17 feet low. Black bass are slow on crankbaits and topwaters. White bass are fair on slabs and topwaters. Hybrid striper are good on minnows and slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows and white jigs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

TAWAKONI: Water stained; 83-87 degrees; 9.93 feet low. Black bass are slow on hollow body frogs and black buzzbaits. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Striped bass and hybrid striper are fair on slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines. Please call ahead to verify access at ramp of your choice. Lake access is severely limited due to low water.

TEXOMA: Water clear; 83-86 degrees; 5.42 feet low. Black bass are slow on topwaters and drop shot finesse worms along deeper points. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs on brush piles. Striped bass are good on topwaters and slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

WEATHERFORD: Water clear; 82-86 degrees; 7.60 feet low. No report available. Please call ahead as low water is making launching difficult.

WRIGHT PATMAN: Water lightly stained; 83-87 degrees; 5.50 feet high. Black bass are fair on hollow body frogs and weightless Senkos near shallow cover. Crappie are good on jigs minnows. Catfish are good on cut shad and trotlines.

SOUTH

AMISTAD: Water stained; 82-86 degrees; 41.60 feet low. Black bass are fair on soft plastics and jigs in 20-28 feet. Striped bass are good on slabs and topwaters. White bass are good on topwaters and slabs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and punchbait in 40-80 feet. Yellow catfish are fair to good on trotlines and juglines baited with live perch in 20-30 feet. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

BRAUNIG: Water stained. Black bass are good on watermelon spinnerbaits and soft plastic worms in reeds. Striped bass are good on liver and perch off points near the pier. Redfish are excellent on perch, shad, and silver spoons. Channel and blue catfish are very good on liver, shrimp and cut bait.

CALAVERAS: Water stained. Black bass are fair on perch colored crankbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are fair on spoons and striper jigs. Redfish are fair on live perch and tilapia along the shoreline, and on live bait along the crappie wall. Channel catfish are slow. Blue catfish are good on liver and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON: Water stained; 83-87 degrees; 26.31 feet low. Black bass are good on chartreuse/white spinnerbaits and large soft plastics. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Drum are fair on worms. Channel and blue catfish are good on punchbait. Yellow catfish are good on live perch and goldfish.

COLETO CREEK: Water stained; 88 degrees in main lake, 101 degrees at hot water discharge; 2.76 feet low. Black bass to 7 pounds are good on watermelon soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps around vegetation in Coleto and Perdido Creeks in 8-10 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish to 28 pounds are good on trotlines and droplines baited with live perch and goldfish in 10-14 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

FALCON: Water murky; 85-89 degrees; 32.00 feet low. Black bass are good on large soft plastics and slow rolling spinnerbaits in 5-10 feet. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on frozen shrimp, cut bait, and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

SOUTHEAST

CONROE: Water stained; 82-86 degrees; 0.18 feet low. Black bass are good on pumpkinseed and watermelon red Carolina rigged soft plastics. Striped bass are fair on green striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and green tube jigs over brush piles. Catfish are good on stinkbait, nightcrawlers, and shrimp.

GIBBONS CREEK: Water clear. Black bass are fair on watermelon seed soft plastic worms and white crankbaits, and on spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait, frozen shrimp, and live bait.

HOUSTON COUNTY: Water stained; 86-90 degrees; 0.37 feet low. Black bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on live minnows around brush. Bream are good on silver Rooster Tails off piers at night. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

LIVINGSTON: Water fairly clear; 83-87 degrees; 0.23 feet low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse Rat-L-Traps and crankbaits. Striped bass are good on slabs, pet spoons, and troll tubes. White bass are good on troll tubes, pet spoons, and Charlie slabs. Crappie are good on minnows in 20 feet. Blue catfish are fair on shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

SAM RAYBURN: Water murky; 82-86 degrees; 0.42 feet low. Black bass are fair on watermelon topwaters and chartreuse soft plastic worms. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows over baited holes in 20-25 feet. Bream are slow. Catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait, cut bait, and liver.

WEST

ALAN HENRY: Water stained; 85-89 degrees; 18.1 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Yellow Magics early, later switching to Carolina rigs and jigs. Crappie are good on live minnows and jigs over brush piles. Catfish are good on chartreuse (use Worm-Glo) nightcrawlers.

ARROWHEAD: Water off color; 83-88 degrees; 18.71 feet low. One ramp open and few anglers have been on the lake.

HUBBARD CREEK: Water off color; 83-89 degrees; 27.66 feet low. Black bass are good on topwaters early, midmorning switching to Texas rigs, crankbaits and jigs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs over deep cover. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

NASWORTHY: No report available.

OAK CREEK: Water stained; 83-89 degrees; 23.93 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Carolina rigs, jigs and shakyheads. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on chartreuse (use Worn-Glo) nightcrawlers.

O.H. IVIE: Water stained; 83-89 degrees; 39.73 feet low. Black bass are good on Zara Spooks early and late, midday switching to Texas rigs, jigs and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs shallow.

POSSUM KINGDOM: Water fairly clear; 83-89 degrees; 15.55 feet low. Black bass are fair on Zell Pops early, later switching to drop shot rigs, Carolina rigs, Texas rigs and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair to good on slabs and Little Georges. Striped bass are fair on live shad and while trolling. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.

SWEETWATER: Water murky; 83-88 degrees; 26.78 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Carolina rigs, split shot weighted flukes and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on prepared bait.

WHITE RIVER: Water stained; 83-89 degrees; 29.77 feet low. No report available.

COASTAL

NORTH SABINE: Trout are fair to good under birds and pods of shad on soft plastics. Redfish are good in the marsh on Stanley Ribbits and small topwaters. Drifters have caught trout under slicks.

SOUTH SABINE: Trout are fair to good under birds and pods of shad. Trout are good at the jetty on live bait and topwaters. Kingfish, ling, dolphin and tuna are good offshore.

BOLIVAR: Trout are good on the south shoreline on Bass Assassins, Trout Killers and Sand Eels. Trout, black drum, sand trout and redfish are good at Rollover Pass.

TRINITY BAY: Trout are good for drifters working pods of shad Gulps, Bass Assassins, Gamblers and Tidal Surges. Redfish are good on live bait around the reefs. Redfish are good at the spillway on finger mullet.

EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are good for drifters working deep shell on live bait and plastics. Trout are fair to good on the edges of the channel for trout and redfish. Whiting and sand trout are good on the edge of the Intracoastal on fresh shrimp.

WEST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good in the surf and around San Luis Pass on live shrimp and MirrOlures. Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs.

TEXAS CITY: Trout are fair to good around Dollar Reef on live shrimp and croakers. Redfish are fair to good in Moses Lake on mullet and shrimp.

FREEPORT: Trout are fair to good on live bait on the Surfside Beach. Black drum, redfish, sand trout and sheepshead are good on live shrimp on the reefs in Christmas Bay.

EAST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout are fair for drifters on live shrimp over humps and scattered shell. Redfish are fair to good on the edge of the drop-off along the south shoreline on mullet.

WEST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout are fair on sand and grass humps on soft plastics and topwaters. Redfish are fair on the edge of the ICW on shrimp and mullet.

PORT O’CONNOR: Trout and redfish are fair on live bait over sand, grass and shell in San Antonio Bay. Trout and redfish are fair for drifters working sand and grass with live shrimp. Trout are fair in the surf and at the jetty on croakers and shrimp when the wind allows.

ROCKPORT: Trout are fair in the guts and channels on free-lined shrimp. Trout are fair over grass while drifting with live shrimp. Redfish are good on mullet on the Estes Flats and around Mud Island.

PORT ARANSAS: Trout, redfish and sheepshead are fair to good at the jetty on shrimp and croakers. Offshore is good for amberjack, kingfish, tuna and dolphin.

CORPUS CHRISTI: Trout are fair on the edge of the spoils on Gulps, piggy perch and live shrimp. Redfish are good in the potholes on shrimp.

BAFFIN BAY: Trout are fair to good on topwaters and croakers around rocks and grass. Redfish are fair to good on the edges of channels on live bait.

PORT MANSFIELD: Trout are good on topwaters around sand and grass. Redfish are fair to good while drifting pot holes on soft plastics under a popping cork. Offshore is good for kingfish, ling and dolphin.

SOUTH PADRE: Trout, redfish and snook are fair to good in South Bay and Mexiquita Flats. Tarpon have been caught around the jetty on live bait. Trout are good while drifting sand and grass on plastics under a cork.

PORT ISABEL: Trout and redfish are fair to good while drifting sand and grass flats on live shrimp, DOA Shrimp and Gulps under popping corks. Trout are good on the deeper edges and flats in Laguna Vista on topwaters and live shrimp.
