DENVER (AP) - Police have arrested a 25-year-old man who was involved in a crash that killed an elderly man in Englewood.
Police Sgt. Brian Cousineau says the suspect, whose name has not been released, was traveling at a high rate of speed on South Broadway when he slammed into the back of a sedan at about 5:45 p.m. Friday - killing an 87-year-old man. Two other people - a 60-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man - were seriously injured in the crash.
The Denver Post reports (https://dpo.st/1p4fQ5B ) the suspect, who was not injured, is believed to have been drunk at the time. He is being held on a charge of felony vehicular homicide.
