NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - Authorities have identified the man accused of fatally shooting a 25-year-old man over the weekend in a North Las Vegas neighborhood.

North Las Vegas police say 22-year-old Ajuan Malcolm Theus was arrested on suspicion of murder after the Sunday shooting that killed C’dario Laparker Burns.

Police say the confrontation happened at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday on Jose Ernesto Street, near the intersection of Camino Al Norte and Ann Road.

Investigators say Burns and Theus got into an argument and then began to exchange gunfire. Burns was shot in the head and died at University Medical Center.

Police say the Theus fled, but later returned to the scene of the crime and was arrested.
