CONWAY, S.C. (AP) - A former basketball player at Coastal Carolina has had a criminal charge against him from two years ago removed from his record.

Chris Gradnigo has a letter from the 15th Judicial Circuit office saying that it has expunged all records from his March 2012 arrest when he was charged with third-degree assault and battery.

South Carolina law allows charges to be expunged for minor or first-time offenses.

Gradnigo played for Coastal Carolina during the 2012-2013 season. He transferred to the school after three seasons at Louisiana-Lafayette.
