SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The conservative nonprofit group Americans for Prosperity is launching a South Dakota chapter.

The group that advocates smaller government says its state director is Ben Lee, who has lived in South Dakota for 21 years and has a background in television news reporting, higher education fundraising and administration. He’s also a former member of the state staff for GOP U.S. Sen. John Thune.

Lee says he looks forward to working with local activists to grow the South Dakota chapter.
