INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Former Indiana Secretary of State Charlie White’s voter fraud conviction has taken him out of politics, but hasn’t stopped him from writing about it.

White, who was stripped of office and his law license after being removed as secretary of state in 2012, has started a political website called “The Indy Sentinel.” He said on his Twitter account that he would expose politicians and media who he says serve the elites in both parties rather than the public.

White said he plans to make the website more active in coming weeks. The site currently contains two articles, including one about campaign donations to a prominent state officeholder.

“You’re going to see a lot more of that,” White told The Indianapolis Star (https://indy.st/VQcMms ). “I got plenty to write about. I’ve got a keen interest as of now in the Republican Party. That’s the group I was with for 25 years. I know about how everyone is connected, whether it’s with each other or with different companies.”

White said he has time to devote to the project because he is unemployed.

“My law license is suspended for now. All I can do is say, ‘Gosh, all I can do is try to make a positive impact,” White said.

Besides appealing his convictions, White also has lawsuits pending against his trial attorney and a federal suit that claims his removal was political “payback” for his actions as chairman of the Hamilton County Republican Party.

White was convicted of voter fraud and other charges in 2012, a case that stemmed from his use of his ex-wife’s home as his voting address and living elsewhere in 2010 while serving on the Fishers Town Council and running for secretary of state.
