PAW PAW, Mich. (AP) - Authorities in southwestern Michigan have arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of abuse involving an 11-year-old boy.

Van Buren County Sheriff Dale Gribler said Wednesday deputies found the boy walking alone on a road early Tuesday.

According to Gribler, the boy told deputies he ran away from home after being physically abused.

The sheriff says a 28-year-old man and his 46-year-old mother were arrested, but have not yet been formally charged.

Children’s Protective Services removed the boy’s 2-year-old brother from a home in Geneva Township. Gribler says the toddler didn’t show signs of abuse.
