NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Prosecutors say a prison nurse and a convicted murderer have admitted plotting to distribute 50 decks of heroin by smuggling it into the facility.

The nurse, 40-year-old Christopher Ramdayal of Jersey City, pleaded guilty Wednesday to conspiracy to distribute a controlled dangerous substance. That came just days after 60-year-old Frank Booker of Newark pleaded guilty to the same charge.

Surveillance cameras captured Ramdayal in May when he met a woman he thought was a drug dealer. But she actually was an undercover investigator.

Ramdayal will likely get probation when he’s sentenced Oct. 3. But he will have to forfeit his job and will be barred from holding public employment.

Booker faces three-year term when he’s sentenced. He’s already serving a 99-year term at Northern State Prison for the murder count.
