LISBON, Portugal (AP) - Islam Slimani scored midway through the first half as Sporting Lisbon held Benfica to a 1-1 draw, while FC Porto produced a late attacking flurry to rout Moreirense 3-0 in the Portuguese league on Sunday.

Porto pulled level with Guimaraes at the top of the table with three wins in as many rounds. Defending champion Benfica trails both leaders by two points.

Nicolas Gaitan put Benfica ahead in the 12th minute after finishing off a team buildup, but striker Slimani leveled for Sporting with a header in the 20th.

Oliver Torres broke through for Porto in the 70th minute off a pass by Yacine Brahimi before striker Jackson Martinez added goals in the 82nd and 87th.

Adrian Lopez set up Martinez’s second goal after Porto’s Juan Quintero missed a penalty.
