BELOIT, Wis. (AP) - One person has died in a fire at a home in Beloit.
Fire officials say they were called to the house about 3 a.m. Tuesday. Firefighters say flames and smoke were pouring out of the house when they arrived - especially from the basement.
The Beloit Daily News (https://bit.ly/1no70Px ) reports one person had gotten out of the house. Firefighters helped a second person escape, but were not able to reach a third person in the basement.
That person was pronounced dead at Beloit Memorial Hospital.
