LACONIA, N.H. (AP) - Police in Laconia, New Hampshire, say two drivers were not injured after they struck a moose that walked onto the road.

Police said the first vehicle was traveling north on Parade Road when it hit the moose at about 9 p.m. Monday. A southbound vehicle then hit the moose, which was fatally injured.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
