PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) - Police say a 21-year-old from Arkansas has been arrested in connection with a triple slaying in Texas.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1kD5b6C ) police say Justin Smith of Pine Bluff has been arrested on a charge of capital murder of multiple persons and is being held in the Dallas County jail on a $1 million bond.
Smith is a student at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where he is studying agriculture.
Dallas police say Smith admitted killing three people Saturday during an argument at a house where drugs are sold. They say Smith also shot another person in the head, but she survived.
Smith’s family issued a written statement expressing condolences to the victims’ families.
Online jail records don’t show an attorney for Smith.
