NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) - Northwestern State baseball coach Lane Burroughs has promoted volunteer assistant G.T. MuCullough to a full-time assistant’s position and brought on Nick Ammiriati as the team’s new volunteer.

Burroughs announced the staff changes Tuesday in a news release. It’s the second time in two years that McCullough was promoted within the staff, moving to volunteer assistant after serving as the director of operations in 2012.

Burroughs says he will continue to coach first base and work with outfielders as well as help with hitting and recruiting.

Ammiriati was a member of the 2013 College World Series run with Mississippi State as the starting catcher and will work with the Demons’ catchers and help with the pitching staff.

Both moves complete the Demons staff for the new season.
