BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - The only night parade in South Mississippi on the last Saturday of Carnival will roll in Biloxi.
The Biloxi City Council approved the Krewe of Neptune’s parade route Tuesday.
Since Hurricane Katrina, Neptune has rolled at the end of the Carnival Association’s parade on Fat Tuesday.
Kenny Beverin, captain of Neptune, tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1oql7nD ) it was time to separate the Mardi Gras parades.
The parade will start at 5:30 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.
Neptune president Gerald Everett says he expects about 25 Neptune floats and lighted throws.
