GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - University of North Dakota women’s hockey sophomore defenseman Gracen Hirschy has been invited to USA Hockey’s Women’s National Festival.

The camp Aug. 12-16 in Lake Placid, New York, will determine the roster for the U.S. 22-and-under team that will play a three-game series against Canada. That event is Aug. 21-24 in Calgary, Alberta.

Hirschy last season led UND freshmen with 22 points and was named to the All-WCHA Rookie Team. She was seventh among the nation’s freshmen with a plus/minus rating of plus-19.

Before coming to UND, Hirschy competed with the U.S. Women’s National Under-18 Team for three years. She was part of the silver medal team at the 2013 Under-18 Women’s World Championship.
