COLMA, Calif. (AP) - A San Francisco Bay Area man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in a drunken driving crash that killed three people.

A San Mateo County judge issued the sentence against 26-year-old Paul Michael Diaz on Wednesday. The San Francisco Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1kpe0kh) that Diaz pleaded no contest in June to three felony charges of vehicular manslaughter while under the influence of alcohol and felony hit-and-run in connection with the May 2013 crash in Colma.

Authorities say Diaz was driving his Mustang at speeds of at least 90 mph when he hit the back of a Honda sedan. The Mustang hit a retaining wall and split in two.

Diaz’s three passengers, including his girlfriend, were ejected and died at the scene.
