PEORIA, Ill. (AP) - Police in Peoria say two teenagers were overwhelmed by a group of robbers who stormed inside a house after the door was answered. The robbers tied up the teens and ransacked the house.

The (Peoria) Journal Star (https://bit.ly/1qZ25wl ) reports the home invasion and robbery happened early Thursday morning in central Peoria. Police say the foster father had just left when the teens heard a knock on the door. Police say the group of men - at least one of them holding a gun - made off with a firearm.

The boys were able to free themselves and call police from a neighbor’s home. As of Thursday afternoon, police had not made any arrests or publicly identified any suspects.
