BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore police say a group of youths under the age of 16 attacked a school bus driver, stole the bus and took it for a short joy ride.

Officers say three youths spotted a parked school bus in West Baltimore around 2:35 p.m. Thursday. Police say the teens boarded the bus and assaulted the driver, who ran off the bus before the teens drove off.

The driver was the only person on the bus.

Police say the youths drove the bus once around the block, left the bus where they found it, and ran away.

Officers caught up with three of the youths and arrested them.

The bus driver suffered minor injuries.
