BEAR, Del. (AP) — A New Castle County man has been released on bond following the shooting of a Delaware state trooper.

The trooper, who was wearing body armor and suffered only minor injuries Wednesday, was part of a team executing a warrant in connection with a New Jersey police investigation of an armed robbery at Caesars Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City last month.

Authorities say a suspect in that case, 21-year-old Nathaniel Greenlee, lives at a home in Bear, Delaware.

Officials say that as troopers were making entry into the home, Greenlee’s father, 50-year-old John Greenlee, fired two shots at police.

Nathaniel Greenlee was later found in Pennsylvania and taken into custody by Pennsylvania troopers.

John Greenlee faces reckless endangering and gun charges. He was released on $25,000 unsecured bond.
